Use the internet and the textbook to find the answers for the tasks below:

2. In your notebook write a definition for:
  • The Cold War
  • Communism
  • Capitalism

3. Use the internet or your textbook to find the dates of these events. (Months will suffice, although with some events you will have to specify "early" or "late") Create a timeline in your workbook, entitled: "Events of 1945"
  • Japan surrenders
  • Death of F D Roosevelt
  • Normandy invasion (D-Day)
  • Yalta conference
  • Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombed
  • Hitler commits suicide.
  • Potsdam conference

4. Answer questions 2, 4 and 5 on page 234
